Want your favorite movies of 2012 to get bucket of popcorn? Get voting for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards!

Who says award season is over? The MTV Movie Awards, hosted by Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect, Bridesmaids) this year, airs on April 14th. That might seem like forever from now (spoiler alert: it’s not), but not to fret! Voting has officially begun! You can head on over to the official website to vote for categories like Best Kiss, Best Scared-As-Shit Performance, and Best Shirtless Moment to name a few. You can also text ‘MOVIE’ to 22422 to vote for all your favorites. Just be careful, standard data & messaging rates apply.

I have to say, I’m a bit surprised to see that MTV has nominated a lot of Academy Award nominated movies. I usually look forward to MTV nominating the goofy, not-so-great, movies that usually get no recognition. I’m kind of disappointed to see them acting more like a “real” award show. I’m also really pissed that Pitch Perfect didn’t get nominated for Best Movie. With that said, they’re still nominated for quite a few awards, and I have a feeling they’re going to win most of them, if not all.
