Check out the new music video for Hayley Kiyoko’s single ‘This Side of Paradise’ from her upcoming EP of the same title.

A few months ago I wrote to tell you all how obsessed I was with Hayley Kiyoko‘s new single ‘This Side of Paradise‘, and I am pleased to announce I still love it despite playing it over and over and over again since. Hayley just premiered her new music video for the song, and I am so glad to be able to share it with you all!

The video is cleverly done, and I am living for that top knot she’s rocking. I really love the literal “this side of paradise” imagery. Idolator said that the track’s layered elements were “captured effortlessly in the lush video” and I couldn’t agree more! Wonderfully put together video for a sick track. The video, like her song, does a great job of taking music that seems so positive and upbeat and mixing it with lyrics that have a deeper meaning behind them. The video was directed by RJ Sanchez, and you can purchase the song on iTunes.

For those of you that don’t know, Hayley starred in Disney’s ‘Lemonade Mouth’ before grabbing roles in shows like The Vampire Diaries and The Fosters. She’s also starring as Aja in the much-anticipated Jem and the Holograms movie to be out next year. She wrote or co-wrote all 5 of the songs for her soon-to-be-released EP and worked with producer James Flannigan.
